Experience Tokyo Before the Crowds

Most visitors see Tokyo during the busiest hours. An early morning photoshoot lets you experience a quieter side of Tokyo while creating beautiful, natural photographs.

The soft morning light, cooler temperatures, and uncrowded streets make it one of the best times to explore Asakusa.

Best Photoshoot Locations I Recommend

Tokyo offers many beautiful locations for natural and memorable photos.

Asakusa is my most popular location, offering a unique mix of traditional Tokyo — streets, temple, and local atmosphere.

Early morning is especially beautiful before the crowds arrive.

Nezu Shrine is known for its stunning red torii gates and peaceful atmosphere.

Shinjuku Gyoen offers beautiful gardens and a quieter side of Tokyo.

You can combine Asakusa with Nezu Shrine, or let me know if there's another location you'd like to explore.

Tokyo can be loud and busy — but mornings in Asakusa and Nezu Shrine feel surprisingly calmMany guests tell me the same thing after visiting Kyoto: “We loved the quiet atmosphere and slow feeling there.” That's the kind of experience I hope to create in Tokyo too.

What guests said after the shoot

A Real story from a family who booked last-minute in Tokyo.

Since we have a 7-month-old baby, we originally planned for the whole family to wear kimono. But we were worried our baby might get fussy while we were getting ready. In the end, only our child wore a kimono, and we stayed in our casual clothes — which made the experience much easier and more relaxed.

I found Hide via AI search, looking for a family photographer in Tokyo. I looked very last minute, while I was already in Japan (visiting from the US) but I saw on Hide’s website site, he does next day photography if he’s available so I took a chance and reached out to him via WhatsApp. He replied right away and was extremely easy to communicate with and flexible with his availability. I reached out over the weekend and was able to schedule for the following Monday morning. He was helpful with meeting location and he was waiting for us when we arrived on Monday morning. He also asked us at the beginning what type of photos we were looking for and helped us with poses and knew all the best spots to shoot. The whole process was really fun and efficient and we ended up with sooo many amazing family photos we will cherish forever. He also delivered the photos so quickly which I was impressed by as well. I’d highly recommend Hide and wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again next time we visit Japan.

Such an amazing and wonderful experience. Hide knew exactly what to do, made everything easy, and helped me feel comfortable throughout the shoot. I will absolutely cherish these photos and memories forever.(Couple photoshoot)

Absolutely incredible experience with Hide in Tokyo. From the very beginning, everything felt easy and natural. Hide guided us through Asakusa in a way that never felt rushed or forced. What stood out most was how peaceful the morning felt. Before the crowds arrived, we were able to enjoy a quieter side of Tokyo while creating beautiful family memories together. Hide knew all the best spots and helped us feel comfortable throughout the session. The photos are wonderful, but what we will remember most is the experience itself. If you're looking for more than just photos—if you want one of your favorite memories from Tokyo—Hide is the photographer to book.(Family photoshoot)

Ideally, morning sessions starting around 8am are recommendedAsakusa is still quiet, the light is soft, and the temperature is much more comfortable before the summer heat arrives. It's the perfect time to enjoy a peaceful walk and capture natural moments before the streets become busy.
